Race Procedures

The promoter has the option of how he/she chooses to run his event.
Listed below are the promoters 2 choices.

           Option 1

If the promoter chooses to qualify, The way it will need to be done is as follows.

1-All drivers must draw as they arrive at the track.

2-After all drivers have drawn, the field will be split in to 3/4 groups depending on car count.  (I will base this example on 40 cars.)

3-The 1st 10 drivers on the draw sheet will be group 1, The 2nd group of drivers on the draw sheet will be group 2, etc. etc. etc.

4-Group 1 will be the 1st 10 cars to qualify in the order they drew. Then you qualify group 2, then 3, etc. etc. etc. If a driver arrives to the track late he will fall on the tail of the group with the least amount of cars. If a driver misses his spot by 2 places, He will go to the tail of his group heat.

5-A.L.M.S will only qualify 1 lap.

6-Heat 1 will be group 1, The top 4 cars in each group will be inverted, the remaining field will start heads up.

7-If you have 3 heats , The top 5 will advance to the feature. If you have 4 heats, the top 4 will advance to the feature. Drivers that transfer through the heat will be lined straight up.

8-B-main cars will be lined up according to the way the driver finished the heat. If you ran 3 heats, and you run 1 B main, you will take the top 5 from the B main. If you ran 4 heats, you will run 2 B mains and take the top 2 from each B main.

9-The B main cars will line up behind the heat race cars that are already locked in the way the finished the B main’s.

10-Once the line up has been determined, The last 2 cars that will make the feature will be the 2 highest A.L.M.S. point drivers that have not yet made the feature.

11-The feature will be no more than 40 laps.

12-Try to keep the heat races 12 cars or less.

13- Only 1 car per driver.  Driver may drive another car that is at the event.

          Option 2

If the promoter chooses to pill draw this will be the way it will need to be done.

1-All drivers must draw when they arrive at the track.

2-Once all cars have drawn, they will be split in to 3/4 heats depending on car count.

3-The driver with the lowest pill draw will be on the pole of heat 1, the driver with the next lowest pill draw will be on the pole of heat 2, etc. etc. etc.

4-Take the top 4 out of 4 heats, or the top 5 out of 3 heats. Line these cars up the way they finished their heat.

5-If you ran 3 heats, you will run 1 B main and take the top 5.

6-If you ran 4 heats, You will run 2 B mains and take 2 out of each.

7-B main cars will be lined up behind the heat race cars in the feature.
